Crash tested, outstanding product

I crash tested my Mercury Jacket a little over a yer ago. It protected me very well. It suffered a little scuff on the right sleeve, but damage is so minor, I still use it instead of the new one (same model, and color) I purchased to replace it. We survived together, so we will both keep enjoying motorcycling together, as well.

Last Friday, our 1996 Honda GL 1500 Gold Wing had an unfortunate meeting with some street pavement (and so did we). Jim slid for about 50' on his back, and I tumbled next to the bike. The Mercury Jackets had shoulder, arm & back armour. We were also wearing the EZ-on pants. When the dust settled and we started taking stock of the damage, Jim's coat was ripped out at the back left seam, but it definitely saved him from road rash and the elbow pad did it's job of protection...he had a small bruise instead of road rash and a probable broken bone. My jacket was amazining unharmed with just a small scuff on the shoulder. We travel all over the U.S. with the Great Lakes Wings Motorcycle Drill Team and with the Gold Wing Touring Association and have been promoting the Belstaff products to all of our friends (many of which purchased Belstaff items after comparing to other brands). Now - fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it - we have a great example of how well the Belstaff equipment works! Thank you Belstaff for saving our hides!!

Crash Tested The Mercury Myself.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing in regard that I had a BMG Mercury textile jacket that I used when riding my motorcycle. I recently wrecked within the last month and I was very impressed with how well it held up. The jacket was great. From what paramedics said it looked like I slid about 100 feet, and I was pretty much on my front side. There was very minimal damage to the jacket up until the point of the paramedics having to cut it off. :) I have attached some photos to show how well it did. The front turned black from the road, but the only real damage I could see was near the ends of the sleeves at the end of the the elbow protectors some slight holes in the jacket. As a result of the jacket getting the worst of it, I got a very minor scrape near my right wrist.

I would like to say thank you for making such a good quality jacket. I am planning to get a couple more, one for myself and one for my dad now as he rides too.

This jacket lived up to the press. I read the webbikeworld.com review calling it "The Holy Grail" and I must say I agree.. Great Job in the Cold, Wet and Heat of B.C. Canada...

Crash tested

I was recently in a crash wearing the mercury jacket with the added back armor. While I was going 45 mph someone pulled out in front of me and I went flying over the vehicles hood and landed on my back. I didn't have one bruise on my back and the jacket didn't have one scratch on it. This is an excellent jacket and I highly recommend BMG products.

I haven't had the jacket too long but the first outing with the jacket was outstanding. The jacket kept me warm and was extremely comfortably. I couldn't ask for more...

feels custom made

when I tried this jacket on it immediately felt custom made. I have an Olympia jacket that was costly but rarely used as it was so stiff and with my full face helmet restricted my neck movements. this jacket feels like a million bucks and will be great for riding all winter in west Texas and New Mexico on my BMW!

BMG, I just want to thank you for your time at the Charlotte IMS. I received my Mercury jacket on Friday, and the fit is perfect. I've taken it on a 200 mile 45-50 degree trek over the weekend and the comfort and warmth is the best from any of the other jacket I have owned. I think that this will be a perfect fit for NC an mountain riding. Thanks again Cheers Ron

Great Jacket

I've had my jacket for 2 years and love it. It's comfortable through a wide range of temperatures. It is truly waterPROOF as a number of wet adventures have proven. Also survived a couple of 'upsets' with excellent protection for my old bod. When I bought mine I was unsure of the size and got good advice from BMG so it fits beautifully.
