The leather has a rich color which is primarily black but with a touch of brown. It feels soft and supple out of the box. The size 38 i ordered was true to size, but the sleeves are very long. (I wear a 15-1/2" shirt w/ a 32" sleeve). For a stretched out cafe racer position, the sleeve length might work, but I will need to have these shortened about an inch, hence I deduct 1 star from my rating.
